Top 10 players
Complete five questions and opt in to appear. Accuracy ranks players; time beyond the allowance breaks ties. XP shows progress but does not determine rank.
How rank and XP work
Five submitted first attempts qualify you. Accuracy decides rank, then average time beyond the allowance: 3 min 25 sec for TMUA and 2 min for A-level. Finishing sooner than the allowance does not improve rank. A started question that times out counts as incorrect with a 20-minute time. The server checks answers and time; opening another tab does not reset a question.
A correct core question earns 10 base XP, stretch earns 16 and challenge earns 25. Three, five and ten correct first answers in a row add 10%, 20% and 30% respectively. A wrong or timed-out answer resets this run. Three consecutive active UK calendar days give 1.2× XP; seven give 1.5×. This multiplies base XP and the correct-answer run bonus, rounded once. A missed day resets the day multiplier; earned XP stays yours. Each question awards XP once. XP never changes your skill rank.
This is informal practice with original questions, not a proctored assessment or official TMUA score. Your profile name and email are never displayed; only your chosen anonymous alias appears if you opt in.
